Ok so my goal is to have my blog updated by the end of the year... who knows if it is likely to happen... However I want to print it... so maybe that will give me some incentive... I wanted to put a few funny things on here before I forget them... out of the mouths of my cute boys :)

Ethan...

One morning on the way to school Ethan asked me what car he was going to get when he turned 16?!! Here is our conversation:

Me: "If you're lucky you will be driving the car I am driving right now" :)

Ethan: " I think I want a van"

Me: " You want a van?"

Ethan: " Yeah I want a van, or a car like Will's" ( Tahoe)

Me: " How about a car like Will's then"

Ethan: " No I want a van, a green one with blue on the inside"

Me: " Ok you remember that when you are 16! " :)

I love this kid, he comes up with some funny stuff...

The other day at church we were sitting in sacrament.. and someone was bearing their testimony and they were crying.... Ethan looks at me and says " mom, don't even think about crying!" All I could do was laugh!!

Hazen....

Lando was here one night and he was in the bathroom, and Haze went and knocked on the door.. and Lando asked " Who is it?" and Hazen said " It's me Hazen" and Lando said " who is that?" and Hazen said " It's me Hazen, Ethan's best friend" I thought this was so cute :)

I don't think there is anything more precious than listening to a child say their prayers. Haze says the cutest prayers... he blesses the whole entire world, and names everyone he knows, he blesses Blaze(lando's dog), he blesses the" whole entire ghost", the prophet, and tonight he said " bless us to watch cartoons, and to pick E up from school", and he ends every prayer with Jesus loves us. I think it is so cute to listen to both of my boys, it just melts my heart :)

I am so grateful for two wonderful kids, even on nights like tonight, when Tai and I attempted to take them shopping, and they were running all over and I wanted to pull my hair out.. all they have to do is say " I love you mommy" and I can't even be mad anymore.. I am sure this is all part of their plan.. but it works :)

In March, Cole and I went to the Jason Aldean concert with Kado and Sam. We went to Texas Roadhouse first, cuz it just isn't country without Roadhouse :) Everyone there thought Sam and I were sisters :) Too funny... but we had a blast at the concert! I couldn't hear for a few days after but it was a blast none the less... thanks Kado and Sam for going with us!! And if you didn't notice we went country style haha

Valentine's Festivities... On Valentine's Haze took Mack a rose, I had to post this pic, I absolutely love it!!
The week of Valentine's we went to my mom's and made Valentine cookies.. the kids had a blast and I loved it, cuz I just ate them as we went!! :) Super good, and of course Mack was in heaven, sugar cookies are her favorite!!

Once again I let my blog get WAY behind!! So here is my attempt at catching up... more to come...

**In February we went down to Salt Lake for Gabe's baptism, and of course I didn't get any pics there. I did get a few of all the kids playing together and of Papa and Mimmie... the kids always have a blast playing with their cousins.. it was also good to see Papa and Mimmie since they have been off on their adventure we don't get to see them as much....

..That's right, Mack and I were Saints supporters.... :) The pic of Mack and Haze is adorable!
I had to post pics of Kado, Ethan, and Hazen's fort.... we had a sleepover at my mom's and you just can't have a sleepover without a fort, and you can't have a fort without a TV in it haha.. they stayed up watching movies all night... Ethan told Kado to draw the sign, and specifically told him to draw a girl and then put an X through her, haha He honestly wouldn't let me or Mack in... too funny!
One night Lan and the boys decided to build a snowman... they were outside for ever perfecting the snowman... it had to have a perfect face, and arms or Ethan wouldn't be happy... don't you just love the licorice eyebrows.. I think Landon had as much fun as my boys did :)
My brother Jason's birthday was in January, we all got together and had a little party for him. We love you tons Jason!!

So Ethan and Hazen both have an obsession with my camera, they both love to take pics lately. The other night, Ethan wanted to take funny pics, so we did. We had such a great Christmas this year. Hazen is finally old enough to know what is going on. He came walking down the hall and saw his train table and gasped, then took off running to it. It was so cute. Ethan absolutely loved his presents as well... to be young again ha ha...later in the day we went up to my mom's house and ate and played games with everyone, it was so fun!! I can't even believe it has already come and gone. Where did this year go??

On Christmas Eve we went to my mom's house and had our annual party. We did the Nativity, the kids always love that, especially Mack and Kado :) We did white elephants also.. and just enjoyed hanging out together :) My Grandpa and Uncle Jeff and his kids came too, so it was alot of fun!

Ethan has been begging me for weeks to make a Ginger Bread house, so I finally gave in and let them make one. Who knew it would be so hard to get the dang thing to stay together, if Taiya hadn't given me a helpful hint, it probably would have went out the window :)
For once Haze actually enjoyed putting the candy on instead of eating it, and Ethan absolutely loved making it...

Busy Weekend continued...

The day after Thanksgiving all the girls in the family got together,(except Natalie she had to work, crappy) and had a craft day!! It was so much fun to get together and everyone's crafts turned out so cute!! Can't wait to do it again:)
It was also my brother Brooks' birthday on Friday. We all went to Firehouse to celebrate! He is such an amazing brother, and person in general :) He has always been such a great example to me. He is truly someone I look up to and admire. We love you lots Brooks :) Even if you are a Ute fan... ha ha
Saturday morning me and the boys, and Tai and Cam headed down to Salt Lake to have a late Thanksgiving dinner, well sort of, with my dad and Darlene. It was so fun to see them, and the kids had fun helping Grandma Darlene put up the Christmas Decorations!

Thanksgiving Tradition

One of my memories that sticks out the most about Thanksgiving, besides being with my family, is my mom ALWAYS making my grandma's amazing rolls. They are honestly AMAZING :) This last weekend we went out and helped my mom make them, Hazen had a blast rolling out the dough.. and Ethan, well, he basically just played guys the whole time, but he loved being out there. As for me, I didn't do much :) But I always love spending time with my amazing mom. Maybe one day I will attempt to make them myself.. Turkey Day 3 days and counting...

What a better way to get the WHOLE family together than to celebrate Kado's birthday!! Friday night we all got together at mom's house and had cheesecake, and then Saturday we all got together again to eat. It was so fun to see everyone...
I can't believe my baby brother is 20!! Where does time go? I am so happy we got to see him on his birthday!! I love him so much, he is such a good kid, and I am so proud of him:) My kids absolutely love their "Uncle Hulk", cuz he has muscles inside of his muscles ha ha
Friday night ALL the brothers and sisters went and saw 2012 together. It was so fun to get everyone together, it rarely happens anymore!! I just have to say I am truly blessed to have the best family on EARTH. I know everyone thinks that they do, but I really do :) I have amazing brothers and sisters, and love them all so much:)

My Grandpa is such an amazing guy, he has always been such a good example to me and my whole family in general. Tonight we were able to attend the meeting where it was announced that they will name a park in his honor... ...whereas, his faithful dedicated service has resulted in countless memories cherished by those children who have now grown into productive and healthy adults as a result of his influence.. (this was part of the proclamation they read)

I love this time of year!! There are so many fun things to do with the kids :) We carved pumpkins the other night and the kids absolutely LOVED it!!

We also made Halloween cookies, the kids loved this also, me not as much ha ha.
Ethan just kept saying "Mom look at our cute Halloween cookies", he loved them. That made the mess totally worth it :) Hazen just loved eating all the M&M's and chocolate chips!!

Chicken Fried!!

So... I must confess I have a new obsession :) I love the Zac Brown band.. I don't know what it is..the song Chicken Fried just reminds me of growing up at my house... and Whatever it is.. I just feel like he is singing directly to me .. ha ha ok so I have probably been in the house ENTIRELY too long with sick kids, but I do love their music. Something about it just makes you want to get up and boogie ha ha. And I love his voice :)

The main reason for this post however is because one day in the car Chicken Fried came on, and we were jamming out to it and Ethan said "mom isn't it funny that some people call rootbeer, beer for short!!" It was hilarious. He is so cute I had to post it.

Ethan goes to School !!

I can't believe it, Ethan started school this year. He has been going for about a month now, and he absolutely loves it. I have to admit I was really worried as to how the first day was going to go. He started the night before saying he was sick and he couldn't go to school because he would get all the other kids sick. I laughed so hard at this and told him he would be fine. Then he told me he needed to have his own cell phone in case he needed to call me. Are you kidding me?! I couldn't believe it, but he was dead serious!! I told him they have phones at school. I even told him he could wear whatever he wanted, notice what he picked, haha, and also wanted to wear every day the rest of the week :) But needless to say when school time came he did amazing. He walked right in all happy and Hazen and I stood at the door crying :) Hazen cried for like a half an hour saying he wanted to go to school with E. I am so proud of him for doing such a good job. The second day of school I told him not to worry cause I would be back soon, just like the day before and he said " Mom I never even worried about it". Come on Ethan, humor me and pretend you missed me ha ha
We went to Parent Teacher's today (already!) and his teacher said he is doing so well and is learning really well. We are proud of you E!! We love you!

After we went to Moab, we went to Monticello to see Cole's parents and then we had a family get together in Hesperus Colorado, at Cole's grandpa's awesome ranch. The kids absolutely loved it there and did not want to leave!(see the red building, it is a two seater outhouse, that still gets used :)

4th of July Fun!

We had such a fun 4th of July this year. We started out early and went to the parade in Lewiston with my mom and Macken, then walked around and let the kids play on all the blow up slides. Then we just hung out at my mom's and had a BBQ with everyone, well not everyone, but some of the fam, and then we watched the fireworks and then we ended the night with a fire and made smores. It was such a fun day just hangin out with fam.

We decided to take the kids up the canyon and let them play and enjoy the warm weather for a change. They loved throwing rocks into the water. :) Easy entertainment!

We went to Salt Lake a couple weeks ago for Cole's 15 Year High School Reunion!! Wow he is so old ha ha. It was actually in Park City, so we went down and stayed for the weekend, since Ethan had surgery the following Monday, and we wanted to see my dad for Father's Day! It was Ethan's birthday last week. He was so excited, he couldn't wait for Whitney to be here on his birthday. We had a fun day, he opened his presents and played all day and wanted to go to McDonald's to eat, so we went there and attempted to go see a movie too.. We did so many fun things for Easter, I had a ton of pictures to post, maybe that's why it took so long, I was overwhelmed by the number of pictures:)Ethan had a blast at Baby Animal Days, he loved riding the horse and the Easter bunny, and basically everything there, if you can't tell by the smile. Hazen on the other hand wasn't really in the mood for it all. He was all excited to ride the horse, and when we set him on it, he freaked out screamed like a little girl:) Maybe next year.

Big Moments at Our House!!

We have had a lot going on at our house lately....Hazen now goes potty on the toilet, he came in the other day and said "poo poo" so I told him to go sit on his potty and go and he hasn't stopped since. Wow I love it. When he is done he stands up and pumps his fists and says "yes" or "whoo hoo". Only diapers at night, the end is in sight:) ha ha that rhymed!
Also, we went and registered Ethan for kindergarten last week. He wasn't too excited at first but he is now. I took him and drove by the school, and he got really excited when he saw the play ground. He did really good with his assessment, and loved being there. He took his webkinz for moral support:) How sad he is this old, I'm not that old...who am I kidding ha ha

It was our anniversary this last weekend, and Cole wanted to spend some time with the boys,so we decided to get out of the freezing cold and go see Cole's parents. They took us out sight seeing and we got to see a lot of cool things. As you know there are about 8 million cool places to go in Southern Utah. It was so nice to go somewhere with blue skies and the sun shining, I wanted to stay there:) We had a great time, it was so nice to get away for a few days, but it sucked coming home to 2 feet of snow:)

Here's a little update on Hazen...
He is at that age where he wants to be just like Ethan, he wants to do everything he is doing, he even wants to wear all Ethan's clothes and shoes, it's cute. He thinks he is Mr. Independent and has to walk everywhere himself.
He is starting to talk a lot. His favorite words are "no, no, no" (usually directed at Ethan:) "Fishy" "shoe" "eeww" "heeeyyy" and he loves his "church shoes" and wants to wear them everywhere:)
Hopefully he will be potty trained soon, he hates wearing diapers, and loves to wear his big boy underwear. He will never go potty in them, he will throw a diaper at me and say"poo poo" if he needs to go, but will not go on the toilet. So hopefully soon!!
He is very animated, just like his brother and loves to sing and dance and show off. He loves to play ball, and spends most of the day throwing the football or playing basketball.

And he unlike Ethan loves the camera and says "Chee" anytime he see's it. What a little cutie, we love him lots:)

Today Ethan went to the Dr. to get his shots for Kindergarten. Where does time go?? I cannot believe he is this old. He did fairly well, a lot better than we expected considering his huge dislike of doctors, shots and medicine, (and I don't blame him). They checked his eyes, and he has 20/20 vision, he is in the 40th percentile for height, and 70th for weight.
He is at such a fun age. He is so inquisitive and asks us at least 20 times a day what different things mean. He asked me the other day what embarrassed means, and what it means to forgive someone, and it caught me off guard I was like well it means your embarrassed, and you forgive them, duh :) It actually makes me use my brain and think for once:) He is so funny, he keeps coming up with the funniest things, we were in the car the other day and he said "mom are you driving really super fast or really gently slow, cuz if your going fast the cops will get you" I just laughed but I guess its good I have him to keep me in check!! He also asked me how your boogers keep coming back when you have picked them already, we were laughing hysterically at this one:)
He also loves to say "that's a darn shame" and "honestly mom" , I have no idea where he picked these up but I love it when he says them!!
What a cute little guy, we love him so much and are very blessed to have him:)
P.S He also HATES his picture taken lately, hence the shortage of Ethan pictures.

Hazen is such a little stinker. Yesterday I was getting ready and did not notice that he had taken my lipliner. All the sudden he said "Mom, Mom" and I looked down and he had the proudest smile on his face. He was so thrilled with what he had done, all Ethan and I could do was laugh. He is getting so big I can't believe it. He is such a calm, well usually, and relaxed little boy. He is always happy and wants to be just like his big brother. He will no longer sit in his high chair, he has to be at the table, and his favorite words are no and football. His favorite thing to do is play football. He is starting to talk so much, if I don't answer when he says mom one time he starts calling me Aim, I am still wondering where he picked that up:) My baby is growing up:(

I can't believe I am barely posting our Christmas pictures. I have no idea where time goes. We had such a good Christmas this year, I was really sad it was all over so soon. We had Whitney with us this year and the boys had a blast playing with her. She is such a sweet girl. We went to my mom's for Christmas Eve, and the kids attempted to do the Nativity. It was hilarious. And Cole's parents came on Christmas Day and stayed for a few days so that was also fun to spend time with them. Needless to say we had tons of fun with all our family and the kids had a blast, Ethan had a cheesy smile for every present and Haze actually was into opening presents this year, he would tear off the paper and then go for the next one. We had our annual Christmas party at my dad's this last weekend. We had a blast as usual. Last weekend we went to Salt Lake for Cole's family's Thanksgiving dinner. We had a good time as always, I forgot to take pictures, but I did get one of the boys sleeping!! On Halloween Ethan had a Halloween Parade at Preschool. He was so excited to go to school and did such a good job. It was so cute I loved it. I haven't posted anything forever, we are still alive and kicking. I have been so lazy at blogging, and Cole decided to drop our camera and break it :), so that is my excuse. I have a lot to catch up on. Things have been pretty busy here. In September Cole turned 33. That sounds so OLD!! I remember bein a kid and thinking that was ancient ha ha We decided to make him some cakes, one was German Chocolate and the other was Ethan's specialty rainbow cake. He had a blast mixing colors for the frosting. Cole got to go to Cabela's so he was happy. We also went to the Circus with some of my family at the end of September. I almost think I had more fun than the kids, but it was really cool. Ethan had a big month in September. He started Pre-school and also indoor soccer. He loved them both at first, and then the newness wore off:) I can't believe he is getting so old. What a cute little stinkers we have.

We went to Cole's dad's family reunion this last weekend at Payson Lake. It was nice to get away from the heat, a little anyway, and relax. It was so pretty up there. So he said goodbye to the corporate world and jumped head first into a new field. He loves it so far. Change and I don't go together very well, but it has worked out pretty good. He can now do what he likes, he gets to be outside and he can get his hands dirty ha ha.

Wow I am so blessed to have so many amazing "fathers" in my life. I just wanted to say Happy Father's Day--- To my Daddy:) I love him so much and hope he always knows this. He has always been there for us and supported us no matter what. I am so happy he is feeling better this year and now has the energy to be the silly crazy dad and grandpa he is. :)
One thing my dad has taught me is that a little sarcasm will never hurt anyone, right Cole ha ha. One of my dad's greatest characteristics is that he can always make you laugh, he's super funny just like me ha ha. He's really caring and would do anything for you. I really couldn't ask for a better dad.
We love you lots Dad, and my boys love their Papa Scott, thanks for everything!! You're the Best!!

To my stepdad: Thanks for always working so hard to take care of all of us, and never complaining:) He would also do anything for any of us. He is such a good dad and grandpa, Ethan loves to go out and check the cows with him. Thanks for everything!! We love you lots!! To Cole's Dad: Thanks for always being there for us, and making us laugh with your funny jokes and stories. You wouldn't find a nicer friendlier guy in the world. Whitney got here last night about 11:00, and Ethan was so excited he was about ready to jump out of his skin. He had hidden her presents and made her open them as soon as she got here, well after he showed her his room. They had a blast playing, I swear they were up until 2 am. :) And then Ethan woke up this morning before everyone, which NEVER happens, and went and woke her up to play. We are so happy she is here and that we get to spend some time with her. She is so tall and grown up. WE love you lots Whitney. Happy Birthday, yesterday that is.

We decided to go camping this weekend, well actually Cole begged and pleaded until we decided to go. I am hoping one of these days Cole will listen to me when it comes to the weather, but probably not:) It was pretty cold and rainy, but the boys had a blast playing in the dirt and on the rocks. They even tried a little fishing. Ethan loved the waterfall at Spring Hollow. So needless to say, crappy weather and all we had a blast!!!

Holy cow I can't believe my baby is one already!! We decided to go bowling and to the Fun Park to play games. It was more for Ethan, but Haze had a great time running around. (P.S. Up until the 8th frame, Ethan was seriously beating Cole:)

How sad, I cannot believe all my little brothers and sisters are growing up. We went to Kado's graduation last night, he was excited, but the rest of us just realized how old we are all getting. ha ha I graduated 5 years ago. That is forever:)

We went to Roy today to watch Kado run at Region. He did really good! He took first in the 400m And in the 200m

It was Ethan's birthday yesterday. I can't believe he is 4 already!! We had another party for him at my mom's. All he wanted was an Iron Man cake and New Goblin, so it was pretty easy ha ha. He is such a sweet and silly boy. We love you lots Ethan!!

We went to Provo Friday and Saturday to watch Kado and Macken run at the BYU invitational. Ethan was so excited to go swimming at the motel, Haze even loved it too. Here are some cute pics of them in their swimming suits :)

My dad and Darlene and also Cole's parents came up last weekend, so Ethan got some early birthday presents and parties, and loved it. We also celebrated Tom, my nephew's birthday which is the same day. The weather was actually nice so the kids had a blast playing outside

Hazen is now in the stage where he wants to do everything Ethan is doing. Ethan had an ice cream cone the other day, and Haze wanted one too. So I thought what the heck, Shanna gave Daxton one, I'll give him one. He LOVED it.Ethan has been so funny lately, we had pizza the other night, Little Caesar's, his favorite. He was so proud he said "mom I can read" and he spelled h-o-t-n-r-e-a-d-y and he said "that spells pizza". I tried to correct him but he wouldn't believe me. What funny boys:)

Landon is in Ohio and sent us this pic of him at the Ohio State football game, so I thought I would post it. Him and his friends played on an intramural team at Utah State and won the championship there, and so they got to go to Arizona to play. They won the tournament there also and so they got to go to Ohio, so that is why he is at the Ohio State game:) Anyway they got to play at Ohio State and have won 3 of their games so far!!
